Multiple Related FileMaker Files Count As Independent Databases

Some customers, especially those that started with much older versions of FileMaker, designed their solution to be a collection of multiple interrelated FileMaker database files.  To the customer, it appears like one database, but in terms of our FileMaker Pro Cloud Database Hosting plans it is not.

FileMaker Server has a hard cap at at 125 files per server we can host.  Therefore, since file count is a limitation FileMaker, Inc passes on to us, we must also charge based on file count.

Most customers in this situation will seek out a FileMaker developer, if they are not able to do the work themselves, and combine these multiple files into one database file signficantly lowering their hosting costs.
