I received two FileMaker license renewal emails — am I being charged twice?

No — you are not being charged twice. This is a very common source of confusion and the explanation is straightforward.

Why you got two emails

When your Claris/FileMaker license is due for renewal, two separate systems send notifications:

  1. An email from Claris — Claris (the company that makes FileMaker) sends an automatic renewal notice directly to the contact email on your Claris account.
  2. An email from FMPHost — because FMPHost is your authorized Claris reseller, we also send you a renewal notice.

Both emails are about the same renewal. Only one charge will appear — through FMPHost as part of your hosting invoice.

What you need to do

  • You do not need to act on the Claris email
  • Your license will be renewed automatically through FMPHost
  • You will see the charge on your next FMPHost invoice

Want to double-check?

Log in to your FMPHost account and review your upcoming invoices. If you see any discrepancy or have a question about a specific charge, call us at (888) 520-8291 — we will walk through your billing with you and clear up any confusion right away.
